Edge-to-edge quilting
$0.03 / square inch **
To estimate the cost of quilting, multiply the length of your quilt by it's width and 0.03.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 72 inches. 60 x 72 = 4320 x 0.03 = $129.60
The minimum charge is $60.
** This price is for quilting at an average density. More heavily quilted designs are priced at $0.035 and $0.04, and will be noted in your estimate, or on the Edge-to-edge designs page.
Semi-custom Quilting
$0.05 - $.09 / square inch
Price depends on the complexity of the designs chosen and the density of quilting. Please contact me to discuss your preferences.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 72 inches. 60 x 72 = 4320 x .05 = $216.00
The minimum charge is $70.
Thread
Thread is included in the square inch price unless it is specially ordered for your project. Then it is available at cost plus shipping and applicable taxes.
Batting
Quilters Dream batting is luscious. On Batting describes why I chose this brand.
The following battings are available on 92/93 inch queen sized rolls:
80/20 (80%cotton/20%poly blend), natural @ $0.61/inch
Cotton in the Select loft (100% cotton), natural @0.68/inch
Bamboo (31.7% bamboo/31.7% tencel/31.6% cotton/5% silk, cream @ 0.77/inch
Wool (100% wool), natural @ $0.94/inch
Puff (100% poly), white @0.58/inch
Prices are subject to change which may not be reflected here due to economic conditions.
Batting is charged by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + an 8" margin). For example, if you have a 60 inch x 72 inch quilt, 68" of the batting of your choice will be cut for you.
King sized batting can be special ordered, or you can provide your own.
